Whether your class is preparing to join us for a day in the theatre, or you are considering having us come to your school, Northeast Children's Theatre Company is eager to provide a special, unique experience for students of all ages.
In our On Stage and Touring seasons, we are proud to offer a collection of original works that meet many curriculum standards and initiate conversation within the classroom. NCTC is fully committed to providing a wealth of resources for teachers, to assist in both prepping the students for the performance and offering guidelines in a reflection period following the show.
The NCTC Educator Guide is available for all productions offered as a part of our On Stage and Touring seasons. This tool is used to help teachers tie the performances and show content into their classroom curriculum.
The Guide provides activities, discussion questions, play information, relevant articles, and much more. Each includes two sections: the first to prep students, and the second to lead in a reflection.
Teacher's Preview & Material Samples
Schoolteachers and administrators who have booked NCTC for an in-school performance or touring production may attend the free Teacher's Preview to help in their preparations. Those interested in booking NCTC for a specific show may attend as well, availability permitting.
For those unable to attend the Preview, we offer Material Samples in order to provide a sampling of the content. This package is delivered electronically and includes the following components: synopsis, authors' notes, libretto excerpt*, and one to two audio recordings of songs from the show*.

The perfect field trip for students! At a time when school boards are cutting their arts programs, we are here to provide a new creative outlet of teaching & learning for the classroom. Come visit us for an hour and enjoy a private performance of our current production, accompanied by an optional workshop before or after the show. This is an experience your students will be talking about long after the curtains have closed.
Each show, presented by NCTC, will meet many significant curriculum standards and provide a framework for classroom connections. We strive to educate and enlighten every single student, through performance, while continuing to offer a form of entertainment. Our Curriculum Connections are available to view online and will further breakdown the educational aspect of each title.
