The Storybook Series
Grades K+ / Ages 5+
Magical. Playful. Fanciful.
The Storybook Series is our collection of works and titles that introduce the children to an exciting, brand-new world! Focused on exploring basic relationships and the experience of storytelling as an art form, this series will encourage creativity and spark the imaginations of the children in attendance. The material will immerse the audience and take them into a magical world that is both interactive and mysterious.
Age appropriate activities, games, and lessons, reinforce the concept that theatre should be embraced by the child and can positively influence their development as both an artist and person. Titles in this series are typically 30 to 45-minute dramatic presentations and incorporate themes from fairytales & folklore that may be familiar to the child.
The Explorer Series
Grades 3+ / Ages 8+
Connecting. Relating. Identifying.
The Explorer Series is our collection of works and titles created to assist in "connecting the dots" for our young theatergoers by expanding the concepts, theatrical elements, and characters that are introduced. While role-playing and storytelling continues to be emphasized, this material begins connecting the morals and themes to relatable concepts in an age appropriate context. Providing authentic 'educational entertainment' and instilling confidence are noteworthy priorities of this series.
Hands-on exercises, special events, and educational programming carry out the interactive portion of the series. By approaching the concept of learning in a creative atmosphere that engages, the children can successfully identify the stories' significant themes and messages. Titles in this series are typically 30 to 60-minute musicals and dramatic presentations.
The New Generation Series
Grades 6+ / Ages 11+
Current. Unique. Illuminating.
The New Generation Series is our collection of works and titles that speak to the teenagers of today. Fresh, contemporary, and poignant, this series encourages the teens to find their identity and voice. By addressing topical social issues, relevant to the audience, concepts are framed in a creative, yet honest, way. The material challenges these teens to engage in dialogue that will help transform their own lives and provide a safe environment in which they can grow and explore.
A comprehensive sequence of master classes, seminars, and drama workshops compliment the titles and works. These evocative opportunities allow the teens to learn more about the arts and the issues addressed, as well as further hone their skills and pursue excellence in the craft. Titles in this series are typically 45 to 75-minute plays and musicals that are completely original or present familiar stories in an edgy, innovative style.
The Mainstage Series
All Ages
Entertaining. Inspiring. Engaging.
The Mainstage Series is our collection of works and titles perfect for audiences of all ages. Considered a "gateway" to the arts for families, the series will introduce the art form of children's theatre as a creative outlet, communication tool, and educational opportunity, to patrons ranging from toddler to adult. Our commitment to present dazzling new works and beloved classics, with an emphasis on spectacular production quality, serves as a perfect time spent with the entire family. Pure, fun, entertainment!
Interactive talkbacks, enthralling workshops, and other educational programs accompany The Mainstage Series. These services & programs add a new dynamic to the family theatre experience, and create special memories that will always be remembered! Titles in this series are typically 60 to 80-minute musicals and are completely original or based on well-known stories and books.
